Robert Marsden - Director
As Creative Director of Reveal Theatre, Robert has produced and co-produced and directed over 13 productions in the Midlands, London and touring including Am I Not a Man and a Brother? (National Tour and re-launch in association with Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse), The Savonarola Debate (Florence, Italy), They Called It Passchendaele (Belgium) Singin’ in the Rain, Sticks and Stones, (Tour) Hitting Town, Trench Kiss, Two, the documentary play On The Home Front, Charley’s Aunt and Teechers, and recently secured Arts Council and Home Office funding for touring productions and projects, including commissioning and developing a new play ‘King Macbeth’ (National Tour). He is also director of ‘Under Wraps’, a new initiative for new writing in North Staffordshire.

In repertory, he has worked at the Yvonne Arnaud Guildford, Stephen Joseph Scarborough, Bolton Octagon, Southwark Playhouse, Oxford Playhouse and Aberystwyth Arts Centre on productions ranging from working with Alan Ayckbourn on his play Sugar Daddies (National No 1 Tour) and productions such as Harvest (devised), Cabaret and Romeo and Juliet.

Commercially, he was Staff Director on National Tours of “The Extra Factor” with Kevin Kennedy and Antony Costa, “The Naked Truth” with Lisa Riley and Julie Buckfield and “Over the Rainbow”. Recent commercial pantomimes include “Jack and the Beanstalk” with Frazer Hines and Lynne McGranger (Irene in ‘Home and Away’) and “Beauty and the Beast (with Neil Roberts from ‘Life Bites’ and ‘Charmed’)

Julia Barton - Projects and Game On Co-ordinator
Julia Barton has worked in the creative industries for many years.From event and gig management during the dark years of the AIDS crisis when Julia worked with the Terence Higgins Trust managing awareness raising gigs with bands and performers such as Pet Shop Boys, Sam Brown, George Michael, Azwad, Erasure, Bob Geldof and Elton John.Theatre work has included producing the National Tour of ‘Am I Not a Man and a Brother?’ and Project Manger of both New Vic Theatre Borderlines (Newcastle under Lyme) and Planet Sound Community Arts.

Through her work in the film and video industry and lately in theatre Julia has brought her skills to work within the Community in Stoke-on-Trent developing groups specifically within the BME communities. Julia is now working with Reveal Theatre Co. as Co-Ordinator for a major initiative entitled “Game On” which marries theatre and sport as a vehicle for working with young people in High Schools.

Game On is presently active in seven High Schools in Stoke-on-Trent working alongside Port Vale F.C. and Stoke City F.C. using theatre as a means of challenging extreme beliefs and attitudes. This programme of work is funded by Staffordshire Police and The Department of Communities and Local Government.

Laura Clarkson - Resident Designer
Trained: Arden School of Theatre, Manchester.

Laura is also in the process of designing her first main stage production at the New Vic Theatre of Great Expectations.

As Assistant Designer: Laura has been Assistant Designer / Senior Props Maker at the New Vic Theatre for the past 3 years and has assisted Patrick Connellan on Abigail’s Party, Lis Evans on Kes and Beauty and the Beast and Kate Bunce on The Wizard of Oz (New Vic Theatre, Stoke-on-Trent) Laura has worked at the New Vic Theatre, Stoke-on-Trent for the past seven years as Scenic Artist and props maker working on approximately 80 shows.

Dominic Meir - Artistic Associate
